Staub has achieved the perfect combination of form and function with their cast iron products. The cast iron cocotte by Staub retains heat efficiently and redistributes it slowly and evenly. This leaves braised meat succulent and vegetables tasty and nutritious. The nutritional value and flavour of all ingredients is preserved. A specially designed lid, with an embossed contour, regularly moistens the food: This moisture distribution inside the closed pot ensures the food is cooked delicately.

    • Staub was founded in Alsace, France in 1974. These cast iron products are still produced in France today. Every product is unique and exceptional thanks to its traditional production methods. The cast iron is poured into an individual sand mould, which is destroyed after casting. This means that every product is unique with a different shape and colour. Cast iron is an iron alloy with a high level of carbon and is one of the best materials for absorbing heat and returning it evenly. The heat-retaining properties mean that the pot can be used on the lowest heat level to gently stew the food and save energy.
