The scented candle is an absolute must for a cozy winter. At its peak, the dark season has only a few hours of daylight - and clouds and a low sun mean that even these are not necessarily bright. So that the gray everyday life doesn't overwhelm you, now is the perfect opportunity to make yourself really cozy at home. A scented candle from Yankee Candle or Millefiori is just the thing for this. They bring a pleasantly warm light into every room and at the same time exude a wonderful scent.
For a wonderful ambience at home
Because candles have a pleasant, warm light and actually even spread a little warmth, they are just the thing for the cold season. Put a scented candle on the windowsill, next to your reading chair or on the edge of the bathtub and enjoy a wonderful light with a pleasantly relaxing scent. There are many different scents such as cherry, vanilla or apple cinnamon that are sure to put you in a contemplative mood.
The right scented candle for your winter
One of our scented candle manufacturers is Yankee Candle. The company, founded in 1982, was born out of a spontaneous and rather short-term need to conjure up a nice Christmas present. The handmade creations were well received and today delight people in Europe and the USA. Millefiori is also a well-known brand known for pleasant and high-quality scented candles. In the "Festive" section, for example, you will find a whole range of great candles that exude a contemplative scent and make your home really cozy.
Everything for enjoying scents at home
To ensure that your candles burn safely, you should always place them in a candle holder. This way, no wax can drip onto the table and leave stains. This also reduces the risk of the scented candle accidentally tipping over and igniting something flammable. Lanterns are even safer because they have not only a base but also side walls. At the same time, they offer the advantage that a draft cannot extinguish the flame so easily. A lantern is therefore particularly useful if you want to place your candles in the window or near a door.
Burn your scented candle properly
To ensure that your candles burn safely and that you can enjoy the scent as much as possible, Yankee Candles has a few tips on how to burn them properly. If you buy a candle in a glass, make sure that the glass is not damaged. Otherwise, the heat could cause it to burst. For the same reason, you should extinguish your candle when it has burned down to about 1.5 centimeters. A common problem is the so-called tunnel effect. Instead of melting all of the wax and burning it down slowly, the flame literally eats its way through a narrow tunnel to the bottom. You can prevent this by always allowing the entire wax surface to liquefy before extinguishing the candle. Depending on the thickness, this takes about two to three hours.
Every candle has its own tricks
Depending on the design, material and nature of the candle, it can have different properties that you should take into account. A votive candle, for example, liquefies completely and must therefore be burned in a special container. Tea lights, on the other hand, should be burned completely at once or in a maximum of two phases, as they will no longer light if too much wax has been used.
With our beautiful scented candles, you can bring a contemplative atmosphere to any winter house. Follow our tips on how to burn them correctly so that you can enjoy your candle for a long time and everything goes smoothly. Incidentally, a safe but fragrant alternative to scented candles is room fragrances.
