The SMOOTH GLIDE hand grater is ideal for grating cheese, vegetables or chocolate into coarse shavings. Acid-etched blades give it its special sharpness, which is retained even after prolonged use. A non-slip, ergonomic handle and an equally non-slip base ensure a secure grip. A protective cap is included for safe storage.

The Zyliss company was founded in 1951 by the bicycle mechanic and inventor Karl Zysset (1907 - 1988) in Lyss, a small town near Bern. Zyliss invented the garlic press in 1948 and the salad spinner in 1978 and registered many other patents during his career. The lightning chopper introduced in 1953, later known as the ZICK-ZICK, became a much-copied classic.
