It plays three melodies for three different degrees of doneness: As soon as the eggs are soft-boiled (white soft, yolk runny), the tune ‘Skandal im Sperrbezirk’ plays; if they are medium-soft (white firm, yolk semi-runny), ‘Holzhackerbuam’ plays, and if they are hard-boiled (white and yolk firm), the “Bayern Anthem” plays.
