Our grandmothers used to boil potatoes or vegetables briefly in a closed pot with a little water on the hob and then place the pot in the padded cooking box provided or directly under the thick down duvet in bed to finish cooking slowly. This function is performed by the double-walled design of the DUROTHERM pot. This gentle and energy-efficient cooking method keeps the vegetables aromatic, the colour fresh and the vitamins intact. Thanks to the excellent insulation, the food stays warm for up to two hours. The pot is suitable for all common cooking methods: Boiling, soft cooking, simmering, steaming, bain-marie cooking and steam cooking/steaming.
